DAO’s are organizations that can operate without the need of human intervention. Soon we may be able to see how a DAO can function in an industry that takes part in our weekly life, specifically our night life.
Introducing our hypothetical business example, DrinkTopia! DrinkTopia is a bar that aims at personalizing each and every one of its customer’s experience. No experience is the same as it is tailored to each individual and group’s liking. This venue features 20 rooms with glass doors that surround the perimeter of the center dance floor. Each room is designed the same. A touch screen the size of a large Ipad is located on the wall opposite of the door. The rooms are also equipped with LED strip lights that wrap around the entirety of the space, surround sound speakers that drown out the music coming from the outside dance floor, and sensors in each corner of the room to track movement. The only humans present at DrinkTopia are the security team and a few staff members that monitor the system.
The touch screen enables you the ability to order drinks, change or request the music, and the lights. As the customer orders a drink from the menu, the screen monitors exactly where the guest is navigating to within the system. It calculates the time spent on certain drink categories, which buttons are clicked on, and the amount of times it is used to order menu items. As time progresses, the touch screen is set up to estimate the taste of the guests as they browse through menu options. This is done with the ability of AI.
For example, if one customer were to order a vodka lemonade. The AI agent is able to identify the ingredients of the drink and is able to connect to multiple directories that list the ingredients of a multitude of different drinks. It then gathers the drinks that are the most similar to the vodka lemonade and instantly brings up the top five closest recommendations to the customer through the touch screen they ordered on.
